Time:
Two days (about 1hr total) because I made a habit of only doing 10 minutes at a time so I would not get into a hurry. I would do it on break from the computer.

Solder Gun:
It was the one from work (nice one) it's a regulated Weller with a standard tip. The tip is somewhat oval, just don't use a pointed tip. Grind it down first if that's all you have.

Edges:
They don't really develop. You can always go over it again after it cools (5secs) to smooth it out.

TIP:
Go SLOW, take break, listen to streaming Smooth Jazz :)
