Glock 29 (10mm) converted to 40sw for Carry

Would you carry a Glock 29 with a conversion barrel to 40sw?

I like to idea of having 2 guns in one, 10mm for range but 40 for carry. The G29 would give me these options, unlike the G27 which is 40 only or 9mm conv but not 10mm. I am not sure if I can trust the reliability of the conversion barrel enough to carry it. I understand that some people worry about the reliability of conversion barrels due to the slightly different size parts, like a 40sw to 9mm conversion but I am thinking that since the 40sw is a shortened 10mm, there really shouldn't be any issues with this conversion and I shouldn't have any worries.

    Anyone agree?

Why not just buy a .40 if that's what you want to carry? IMO the 10mm would get the nod over the .40 for carry. Conversion barrels are great for cheaper range time and when your 'native' caliber isn't available. I'd buy want you want to carry. Don't count out a g32/33 for a carry round with other caliber options as a conversion as well.

Oddly enough, the G29 recoil spring is rated 1lb less than a G23 and 1lb more than a G27. I've never done a conversion for any of my Glocks, and I wouldn't use one for carry. I might use one for the range. That's just me though.

I carried a G29 for a while, loaded with 10mm. If anything, I would want to use 10mm on the street, and .40 at the range.

Much as I loved that G29, I had to admit it was too big for my hands, and went with something smaller.

Which ever round was less expensive would be my range choice. Both of them would be good carry rounds.

If you have a 10mm why would you want to carry .40?

If you do want to carry .40, I'd sell the 29 and get a 27 as it's a lighter, slimmer gun.

I don't understand why you'd want to shoot the 10mm at the range then carry .40. Seems really expensive and overbearing on the recoil for just range use. Why not just get a G23?...almost same length/height as the G29 (G19/G23 are almost same dimensions height/length as the G29/G30) but 23 is slimmer
then if you wanted 9mm conversion you're set
