I have a recent P226 variant I can't even find on the Sig website. I found it NIB at the local gun shop and immediately bought it.
I have a 226 with the beavertail frame, all Nitron, short reset trigger, short trigger, and Sig night sights. Fantastic handgun and as accurate as a Rolex.
I still usually carry my Kimber Ultra CDP II for a ccw, but I am embarrassed to admit, the Sig is my favorite.

I've had my eye on the P226 for a little while now.
The quest is on for a Sig! May take a while deciding which model and caliber, but I intend on being a Sig owner someday.
I've enjoyed reading the posts in this thread and people's opinions!

I have my 229 strapped to my hip as I type I love this gun and is accurate as heck. Im not sure what type trigger it has but it is suppose to me a LE gun so. But it has sig night sights and I love it to death.

Does it have a decock lever? If so it is a DA/SA trigger. If not it is either a DAK or a DAO.

I bought a P226 many years ago and one day I had a brain fart and traded it off. I regreted that so bed. So one day I walked into my local gunstore and low and behold, there was a NIB P226 with night sights.
I right there and then bought it, and I will keep this one.
I love it. People say it doesnt conceal that well, but my other EDC is a XD40, so the P226 really isnt so hard for me to carry....
Im now in the market for a good 1911. Man now there is a hard choice to make

+1 on that... I acquire guns, I don't get rid of them.
I've only traded one gun off in my life. It was an original KG-99, better known now days as theTec-9. Gang banger's gun of choice. It was horribly inaccurate. I traded that and a GS 850 Suzuki motorcycle for my Colt AR-15 A2 Govt. Carbine with 6 colt magazines and 250 rounds of ammo.
I think I got the better deal in the trade!

Madmac. . . . The beavertail, night sights, and the "great" short reset make it an Elite.

I dont have a custom holster for it. I have a serpa holster that I carry it in. I need to get a good quality holster for CC. The serpa is nice for OC, but when I get home I have plans on OC when I can..

Can't go wrong with a P226 for carry. The Elites are very nice. P239/229 would be better suited for CCW.
