Glock 26 or Kel Tec PF9, what would you pick?

ok, before choosing the obvious, does the G26 really make the better concealed carry handgun? the PF9 is lighter, thinner and smaller..yes, Glocks are better made/quality handguns but are they the best choice for concealed carry when compared to the Kel Tec PF9? i'd like to hear your opinions on the G26 vs Kel Tec PF9..

Well, I had picked a PF9. The size for 9mm is just incredible. It IS a bit snappy, and I imagine the Glock would be more comfortable to shoot, but the PF9 is just so darn thin and light, I'm just that much more likely to have it with me.

Of course, I soon went even smaller with an LCP, during the summer months at least.

I'm still relatively new to handguns so weigh my response accordingly.
I started out looking for the smallest 9mm I could conceal. I soon came to a point of diminishing returns. I want my ccw/daily carry gun to be a good shooter. In a perfect world I'd get to the range once every week or two and put 50 rounds down the pipe until I get to a point where it's a natural extension of my hand.

Some of the smaller guns are naturally more snappy and for me that makes them less pleasant to shoot recreationally. So for me the Glock 26 represents a reasonably small-sized gun for concealment but I find it as pleasurable to shoot as my Glock 19. In fact I will probably get rid of my G19 as it seems redundant having both. The PF-9 is certainly easier to conceal so if that is your main criteria you should be looking at that gun.

Again, this is just me and has a lot to do with my level of experience and my preferences. A year from now my answer may be totally different.

I have the G26, a Walther PPS and the KT FP-9. The KT is the thinest, the next is the PPS for pocket carry. I can not pocket carry the G26 or G27 without it printing. As far as dependability and accuracy - it's the G26, then the PPS and the KT. The KT works and has not caused me issues but this is my preferance.
PPS, the KT for pocket carry.

Hands down IMO, The G26 for me. My reasons are, it's obviously a better overall performer and will last a lifetime.

I own both the G26 and the PF9 and can't add anything
to the above posts because they are spot on.
    Good job guys

It really depends on how you will carry...if pocket carry is your desire, the KT is far easier...but any other way to carry, the the Glock....I pocket carry 95% of the time and it is either my Kahr PM9 or my LCP......when I carry any other way, it is my G26 or bigger.

Without question my pick would be the Glock 26, if I needed to go smaller in a 9 mm I would pick a Kahr PM 9, the KT might be OK but I hate to put my life on the line with such a second tier gun.

10th Mountain is spot on! Defensive weapons need to be a "first time, every time" tool. Not only must they work every time, they must be mastered by the user so that they can hit what they're shooting at. The G26 lends itself to that level of competency. Provided the user does their part as well.

I'm partial to the Kel-Tec PF9, because of how slim it is. I love mine, and carry it daily. You cant go wrong with either gun, though.

Don't own either one but I would go with the Glock based on the choices
