    When it's a 38Spl - yes
    When CC'ing a 40S&W - no, none needed.
I don't even know if you can get 40S&W in +P

    Yup.

If you need to go for your gun, you are already having a bad day. Why make a bad day worse by going for a gun loaded with wimpy ammo?

I carry the hottest load that my EDC can shoot. Why carry anything less?

I like +P, but I find the groups are bigger then standard pressure so I tend to stick with standard. Although somedays I switchout with Corbon +P ammo.
I know not what this "overkill" means.

Honing the knives, Cleaning the longguns, Stocking up ammo.

    Maybe I'm a wimp. I do use +P in my .38 Spl.
