With the growing popularity of poly-framed CCWs, the alloy-framed, 3rd Gen S&W autoloaders are becoming an increasingly good value. Well Done!
There are only TWO kinds of people in this world; those who describe the world as filled with two kinds of people...and those who don't.
Congratulations on your new acquisition.
I have the 4006 and still carry it sometimes in the colder months
Don't believe what you hear and only half of what you see!
Thanks for the complement everyone! Iam going to have fun at the range.
Mine was definitely a cop gun, carried a lot and shot a little,my finish shows years of duty abuse

I had one, I regret selling that thing.. it was a sweetheart but hard times call for extreme measures...

Rangerman: I too had a 6906 back in 2005. I sold it because of hard times. At that point I vowed that once things became better economically, that I would get that model back. And sure enough it happened. I hope things will get better for you.
I bought a 6906 new back in 1993. (I bought in response to the coming Clinton gun & magazine ban I saw coming on the horizon!) Still have it. It is a great little gun. It is very easy to shoot accurately. It was my first CCW. It has now been retired in that role as my "Glock" phase has taken over that job! My son (age 19) already has his eyes on it as his carry gun when he turns 21 and gets his CCDW liscense next year. Before he takes it over I would like to get some Trijicons or Meprolights installed on it! Enjoy it!

I am such a huge fan of the 3rd generation models! I am now eyeballing the Chiefs Special 9 or 45. Even smaller!
You are talking my language!
