    THANKS!!!!

Very nice Mustang. I'm in lust. If I don't accidentally run across one at the same time I have the cash...I may just have to get the P238 and hope for decent grips.

But, I do also have the hots for the Kahr... being a new Kahr fan as well. But, being a gun nympho, I have the hots for most all guns

I like the Sig P238. An extra barrel in chambered in .32 NAA would be very nice!

I'm leaning towards the Sig. I know that I'd lose 1 round in capacity but I've thought that if I do get the Sig and want to pocket carry I'd just not chamber a round......or could lower the safety and manually cock the first shot.
I know the Sig is 5 oz. heavier and a hair longer.........sigh, decisions decisions.

    I'd go with the Sig....

If you're talking strictly pocket carry, go with the Kahr.....

Heavier gun usually means less recoil..........

I can second that. I just bought a P238 and took it to the range yesterday. There was very little noticeable recoil. (Though for me a .45 is almost pleasurable in recoil terms ) My second and subsequent shots we quick to acquire the target.

About pocket carry. I suppose I have less inhibitions than most about cocked and locked weapons, I never really think twice about it when I carry my 1911s.
Now for pocket carry, one would assume that if the weapon with a cocked hammer, (locked be the sear, the slide never actually locks on the 238), engaged safety and a holster protecting the trigger in my pocket would be no different than doing the same on a waistband.

I have been pocket carrying a SIG P238 for about two weeks now. It is very comfortable in the pocket holster I bought. It has remained surprisingly clean, despite all the warnings I have read on this forum about lint from pockets. I carry it cocked, safety on (not trully "cocked and locked," as the slide can still be operated with the safety applied) and with a round in the chamber.

Before pulling the gun and holster out of the pocket at the end of the day, I always feel to make sure the safety is applied. I have never found anything amiss where that is concerned. Each time I have cleaned it I have gone through all the safety checks, e.g. hammer does not fall when applying the safety, hammer will not fall pressing trigger after applying safety. Hammer does not fall after releasing safety following a pull of the trigger, etc. My confidence in the little gun is just increasing every day.

Both of these models are fairly new. Might want to wait a few months to be sure all the bugs are worked out...

At sigpower.com you can get different grips for a decent price.

I have a Sig 238 and love it. I have a Kahr PM-9 also and love it too, so I'm not brand prejudiced.
With the Sig, your two middle fingers will fit on the grip. Your pinky will curve under the grip. With the Kahr, it will be hard to get two fingers on the grip. (one point to the Sig)
Recoil on the Sig is very mild. I haven't shot the Kahr, but LCP's and such are harsh. (second point to the Sig)
Sig is S/A only, Kahr is D/A only. (for a pocket gun, I give a point to the Kahr)
Sig is less expensive than the Kahr (point 3 to Sig)
Sig has better looks than the blocky Kahr. (Personal taste, but point 4 to Sig.)
Both are probably equally reliable, but my Sig has been reliable right out of the box (tie)
So, IMO..............it's 4 to 1 for the Sig.

I have no experience with either the Sig P238 or the Kahr 380, but I wouldn't automatically state that the Kahr would have more perceived recoil than the Sig. The Kahr line of pistols is designed with a very low bore axis which negates a great deal of muzzle flip.

In my opinion (currently worth $0.08 due to inflation) the Sig and Kahr are on equal footing... all depending on whether SA only is desired, or DAO. The big factor is in the choice of .380, or a sub-compact 9mm in a very slightly larger frame.

me.....I want that Colt Mustang that is currently being held hostage by Pure Kustom

While I have not shot the Sig, I own the LCP and Kahr. The Kahr has alot less recoil than the LCP and is very accurate. I wouldn't pocket carry a single action pistol. Also, you should consider the PM9 if you're willing to carry pistol the size and weight of the Sig.

The Sig P239 is a proven small .380. The New P238 is somewhat advanced. New does not always mean best. I would recommend give this one some time.

I sell Sig Sauer most are great guns.

Personally, I would not own a .380. It simply does not have enough stopping power when needed for defensive carry.

Meantime, While not exactly a pocket pistol, I prefer the Walther .40 PPS over the LCP or P3AT.

I have both. While the dimensions look similar, let me assure you that the Sig feels MUCH smaller than the PM-9. I don't think of the PM-9 as a pocket gun, but the Sig goes in easily. I'll still use mine IWB.
