I have no problem sending a letter, I will have one typed up today. It will be out tomorrow. For the price of RR 1911's you would think the service would be better. oh well, they won't see any business from me.

ACP: I hope you don't take this as a personal comment against you, but this is a perfect example of price not necessarily being the best indicator of quality and shows that sometimes, you DON'T get what you pay for. Hopefully your experience may just be the exception to the rule; at least I'd like to think so. If not, it's a sad statement on the ethics and integrity of the modern American corporate world.

It is a shame. You spend $3,000 for a gun that goes boom, then get kissed off by the company as if you'd bought a "new" car from some fly-by-night, sells cars in an empty parking lot, cash only used car dealer.

Just because folks didn't post saying they had sent a letter doesn't mean they didn't. I didn't send a letter threatening a boycott. Such a threat would ring hollow, considering that I've never done business with them. What I did say was that I had heard about your treatment, that I would not do business with a company that treated its customers that way, and that I was going to make sure my friends were informed. I also told them that, should they rectify the situation, I would be as quick to alert my friends that the problem had been addressed.

To be honest, I don't think you should read too much into response levels on the board as an indication of activity off the board, level of interest, or level of support. Sometimes, people read and do stuff without posting a reply.
