Best stocks I have found for the SP101 are Trausch Grips. The website leaves something to be desired and ordering by phone is probably your best bet but once you get the product it's all worth it.

This gal has some nice grips for various firearms...I've purchased 3 sets from her.

I am a big fan of Pachmayr's Compac grips for the SP-101. Here's a link to Pachmayr's website that includes a photo of an SP-101 with the grips installed:

Well, you've now heard about most that are available for the Ruger SP101. Ironically there just aren't that many.

I can only offer a few bits of advise...

I tried the Pachmy compaq's. They're thick and round. I didn't care for the way they looked but of all grips I've tried they did the most to reduce felt recoil, even with hot .357's. I've heard the Trausch do as well if not better but have no experience with those.

I tried the Badger grips and they're the best looking of anything I've ever seen for the Ruger but they're large and not suited to smaller hands. You'll have to try them yourselves.

I tried the eagle grips and they're a bit smaller than the Badger so they fit better but they're still just a tad long for me.

With all the wood grips I wasn't able to use speedloaders but that wasn't a problem since I use speed strips.

In the end I came back to the originals because they're the best compromise as far as size, concealability and recoil absorbtion that fit my hand.

It's hard for me to imagine there aren't more grips out there considering how popular they are and I don't believe Esmerelda makes grips for the Ruger.

You can buy some wood inserts to replace the plastic ones on the OEM grips but that only changes the asthetics. I wish eagle or Badger would make a smaller wood grip for those of us with smaller hands!

I have badger rosewood grips. The boot grip is smaller than the standar grip for the SP-101. See my avatar.
