Using a stock trigger spring with a Glock OEM Minus connector gives me a 6.13 lb pull using a trigger pull gage on the center of the trigger. I have done this to all my Glocks.

If this combo is wrong why does Glock market their Tactical Handguns (G34-35) with this combo? It works very well and quite a lot of SWAT teams have adopted this Handgun as it comes. My SA 1911s all break at about 5 lbs with the same gage. Kimber markets their Crimson Carry IIs, carry weapon, with a published 4.5 -5 lb. trigger pull.

I have customized several of my Glocks as follows:

The first thing I do is polish all metal touching parts in the trigger group, while doing this I change the connector to a Glock OEM Minus connector. (bring gaged trigger pull to about 6 lbs-Glock has changed their statement that it results in a 3.5 lb pull to now say 4.5 lb pull)

Next, the addition of a set of TruGlo Greens or just AmeriGlo Pro Glo Front sight that is designed to shine with a orange square in the daylight and has a glowing green dot at night will help you keep your eye on the front sight, important in order to aim properly.

An extended slide lock, and on some an extended mag release (LH). Plus mag extention on my sub compacts.

I also change all my trigger bar/triggers to the smooth trigger (G17) one.

I replace all the sights. I have a WTS on my main carry gun, with truglo on my home defense.

I prefer simple mods on my glocks.

Extended mag release for gen 3s (I have to shift my grip on a gen 3 just a bit to drop the mag without an extension, with an extension I have no problems)
Glock extended slide release (I think this part should be standard)
I usually get a grip plug, not that I think its required, I just like it for a $4 part (this won't work if you plan on using replaceable backstraps on the Gen 4)
    Night Sights (any quality brand)

For a carry gun, another crucial accessory (not a mod) is a proper holster. You'll find some holsters will actually release your magazine if you are running that extended mag release. This happened to me before I started making holsters.

You can find a great holster here.

    Glock

For a home defense gun, I would strongly suggest a weapon mounted light, like the TLR-1S, and a quality handheld light for both HD and carry.

    Thanks!
