Seraph,
Is that a non 5" 1911? Has hell frozen over? Top notch work as usual though.

Well - I think this needs a thread bump! Who has the itch for a 1911!? I do! I'm not sure about the rest of you but I'm getting the 1911 sickness baaaddd... And at this point I think nothing but a Colt Series 70 will do...My sickess started at an early age when I got a rare chance to see some of my uncles personal stuff from vietnam - which included a Colt Series 70 and an AR15 he purchased shortly after his return for nostalgia I guess. He never spoke much about it and I don't even think he ever really shot either but I was pretty fascinated by his Colt 45. Ever since that time I've really wanted to have one of my own. Along with my various hunting rifles I also have an HK USP Compact to keep me entertained at the range and for all around carry but I've always wanted a 1911 and I'm currently saving my pennies to get one! I really like the HK but in my mind nothing matches the mistique, looks, history, accuracy and trigger of a nice 1911. (pretty much sold on getting a new Series 70 repo). Besides, the rampant pony is just cool.At my rate I should be getting the funds right around the time I'll become a first time Dad
(Nov. timeframe) this will likely be one of the last "selfish" things I do before my venture into parenthood. Of course after the blued Series 70 then I may want a stainless gold cup, something with a rail, YIKES! How do you guys live with yourselves!?
I'm hoping it will stop with just one....

Here's a few of mine. Just traded the Executive Carry though. Bobtails aren't for me. I have a Nighthawk PDP Commander on order as well and once I decide if I like the scallops or not, I'll be ordering an Enforcer or PDP Government.
Carry this
Carried these two for a while. Although I'm not a Kimber fan, the SIS was a very well fit gun and I enjoyed owning it. The finish was horrible and wore down to bare metal very quickly, but overall a solid gun and served me well for a little over 12 months.
A beater Custom II I had. Needed a place for the extra set of Wilson grips, so they went on this.
The one on the top will be here in another 8 weeks, maybe. It has a couple sets of grips with it and will have a slightly rounded butt. If it's as nice as other copies I've seen, it will quickly become my default carry gun. This pic is from the Nighthawk site.
Sorry for this crummy pic, it was a quick snap for a daily carry thread last year some time.

Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe
Great pics everyone. Keep em coming! I'm so jealous of some of the collections in this thread....really beautiful 1911's. All of you who have shared pics of your CBOB's with custom grips have me wanting to swap out the stock grips on mine. I liked them at first...but Sarge has a way of making them even more attractive.

"A first rate man with a third rate gun is far better than the other way around". The gun is a tool, you are the craftsman that makes it work. There are those who say "if I had to do it, I could" yet they never go out and train to do it. (WETSU)
Now that is an amazing collection of firearms!
