Charter Arms
My dad gave me an old Charter Arms Off-Duty. He purchased it in about 1984. He said that it was new, and VERY cheap.
It is actually a really accurate and fun gun to shoot. I trust my life to it and have no problems or issues with it.
My question is how would I go about finding out how old it is. Like I said, he purchased it in the eightys, but it looks like the older ones from the sixties. Any help?

Can't help much with the age of the gun, but it's in great shape... it looks almost new... maybe you could contact Charter Arms to find out the age...

Can you call charter arms direct and find out if you can send for a history? Smith and Wesson does something similar.

Would like to find one like that for myself.

Very nice older gun! Call or email Charter Arms, they should be able to tell you the year it was manufactured if you give them the serial number.
