hi everyone. i just registered here. seems like a nice forum
.
i have a recent purchase in the form of the glock19 rtf2 that i have a review of i'd like to post. hope you like it
i traded my 3rd gen glock 19 for the 3rd gen glock 19 rtf2.
i like it better. the texture on the handle allows for a non slip grip for faster and more accurate followup shots. i have fired 500 rounds so far, 100 rounds each range session, and the texture is great. no discomfort whatsoever. (also no malfunctions in 500 rounds either, typical glock)
something else i noticed, the rtf2 grip is slightly smaller all around than my other g19. good for me, as i have small hands.
the curved slide serrations, although a little odd looking on the glock, are in fact deeper and therefore easier to grasp for me despite glock's slick finish.
i had my local glock armorer put in a 3.5lb Scherer connector, which actually brings the pul down to about 4lbs. this is a great improvement to the glock trigger pull for me and would not buy another glock without adding one. this new connector makes the trigger break only slightly less defined, but reset is the same. it's a trade off--you get a much lighter pull, with a still acceptably perceivable trigger break, though not as perceivable as the original connector.

here's 25 rounds at 10 yards, two hand hold:

Welcome. Interesting user name. I had to look it up. Guess I'm not cool, hip, etc. because I had never heard this one.

Thanks for sharing the review and pictures. Hmmm, I haven't used my GSSF voucher yet. I wonder how that configuration would be in a Glock 23?

thanks guys.
it's the same grip texture and slide serrations for the g23, my friend :)
however, in the new glock 2010 annual they show the rtf2's with straight serrations in an ad. not sure if that was a mistake, or if they're offering the rtf2 frame with the straight serrations this year.

I figure a new one could be found with the crescent slide serrations. Just have to call the dealer listed on Glock's website.

Welcome to DC.
Nice Glock! I like the RTF2, I wish my G36 and G26 had it.

Welcome! Nice pistol. have a 3rd Gen G19 and quite happy with it. If I purcahse a G19 as a gift for my son, is both the RTF2 and the standard configuration both available? Anyway, Good Luck with it!
