Makes no difference, they both are A#1 in my book!!
Yeah, the only practical difference is that a 642 has a stainless cylinder, and the 442 is carbon steel.
Same firearms, can't go wrong with either. I own the 642 but should have gotten the 442, 'cause I like black guns.
