Kimber Ultra II 10 questions

Found an Ultra 10 at the gun store - should I buy it?

So I stumbled across a Kimber Ultra II 10 the the gun store tonight. Asking $425 for it with two mags. Until I saw this tonight I had never heard of it.

So, if Kimber isn't making it anymore, should that concern me?

At $425 is it a great deal or should I pass on it because it isn't that good of a weapon?

Opinions wanted.

that's a really cheap price for that gun. what's the condition? has it been shot to hell and back?

things you want to check:

-the rifling, is it even, not worn? no pitting or rust?

-tightness of the slide/frame fit.

-tightness of the barrel to slide fit. with the slide closed put your index finger on the muzzle and your thumb on the barrel part that shows through the ejection port and press, see if there's any wiggle. this is far more important that slide to frame fit.

if you search kimber ultra II 10 you might be able to find some info. or google. i saw one a while back but read that it was discontinued due to it being problematic. lots of FTF. i wouldnt trust somthing like that for SD.
