    Mangy,
??? I've owned an XD .45 Compact over 2 years now.
    Springfield Armory

It's one of the features that sold me on the XD...along with the safe trigger and grip safety. It doesn't need a thumb safety.

Larry Vickers called the XD "a range toy".

Either does the M&P...stupid OPTIONAL thumb safey...on the M&P anyway.

I have had a number of M&Ps over the last few years and each one has performed FLAWLESSLY. Never did care for the XD, but that is for personal reasons.

I do feel that Smith and Wesson is an upstanding company and due to the fact that I like so many of their products, I choose to stick with them over their competion (not exclusivly, just for the most part).

You are right about the XD 45 compact, sorry.
I wanted to keep the thumb safety and asked about a grip chop job.
The salesman said my warranty would be void and then showed me the MP45c. He also told me that they were out of XD45c and would have to order one from the factory. After he gave me the dog and pony show..... I decided to go for it. I liked the idea of American made.

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.

If you find yourself in a fair fight your tactics stink.
