Hi all. At Cabela's the other day, I got to handle a CZ 2075 Rami. 3" barrel, 10 round mag. DA/SA or just SA.
I really liked it, except that it had a very long DA trigger pull. So long that I could barely reach the trigger with the first crease/knuckle of my finger (and I dont have small hands).
Is anyone familiar with these as CC weapons? Anything on reliability? Like/dislike?
Never met a CZ I didn't like.
Rami is great, with the caveat you mentioned of a long DA trigger pull.
I'm assuming your talking the 9mm RAMI. No problems with them to my knowledge in 9mm. I have both the 9mm and .40 RAMI. Some people had problems with the .40 cal RAMI, with FTE & FTF problems. I personally never had any problems with mine. I believe limp wristing is a definite concern with the .40 with it being as small as it is.
I owned a 9mm RAMI for about 18 months and, during that time, never had a problem. I was really pleased with that little gun until my oldest daughter saw it - good bye RAMI. She has had it for about two years now and it continues to be a fine, reliable weapon.Quote:

I have one. Mine is the 2075 BD or decocker version.
I have never experienced a failure of any kind with it. I think I always shot WWB at the range. Fit and finish are first rate.
Mags from other CZ's will fit. Even the 20 round mag fron my CZ 75 SP-01. It sticks out a bunch, but feeds fine. The BD comes with two 10 round mags. I don't know why.
Now, for my dislikes.
#1 For me it is too thick. I thought I'd love it as a CC gun but there are others I like better.
#2 (nitpicking) the slide release is too short. Why can't it be like the CZ 75 where my thumb is?
I have some bacote wood grips from Hakken Pek in Norway, and a holster from HBE, so it is a showpiece, but alas, sits in my safe.
For CC, I like the Sig 238 or the Kahr PM-9
I've got a 2075 Rami in 9mm that is the traditional SA/DA. You can avoid the long DA trigger pull by carrying the gun cocked and locked. I've got a bunch of handguns and the Rami has the best trigger in the bunch. They are great shooters. Very accurate. The gun is chunky however.

The CZ 2075 RAMI is a fine compact handgun. CZ's in general are great guns and its based on the CZ75 so if you like the 75 you likely will like the RAMI, and there is not a lot to not like with the CZ75. The grip is a bit thick and the pinky for some will hang off the bottom of the grip but you can use a Pearce extended mag base made for the XD and make a quick modification and it works great on the RAMI, and solve this issue. See photo below.

Love my Rami..... Cocked and locked is an option as well as one in the chamber and a quick hammer cock and your ready to fire. I always figure there is typically time to rack the slide. You have many options with the Rami... i never fire DA.... which is one reason I'm staying away from the pocket guns.

Thanks all! I did love the SA trigger pull. For the gentleman whose daughter 'stole' his :-)....does she have large hands? I'm 5'10" with long fingers and I could barely reach the DA trigger.
And it is chunky. That's the only drawback besides deciding if I should try to learn another trigger pull and gun besides striker fire (if things go bad, I know all needs to be automatic).
And the price is reasonable too, under $600.
I'd love to shoot one if I can find one to rent. Maybe that would decide me. For now, it's 'on my list.'
Hey CZ guys...does CZ make a similar gun that is single-stack?
