New addition to my Concealed Carry pistols

Just won at auction a STI Escort. Just what I have been looking for... a Officers size Alum Alloy frame in 45acp and it weighs only 22.5ozs. STI also has a good reputaion for being super reliable.

A month or so ago I had been close to buying a Kimber Ultra Carry but with all of the unreliabity info on this board and from my own bad experience with my Pro Tactical I decided to keep looking...Thus I researched the STI and found very positive feedback from owners.

Should have the pistol next week and will give a range report

Another "I won a gun at an auction" guy. I haven't a clue how you guys do it. The luck of the draw. You did good. Very nice.

Found it on Gun Broker from a STI dealer in GA. It is New in the box and they normally run in $1050-$1100 shipped price at the STI dealers. None of my local dealers want to carry these pistols as I ask them if they could get me one...No Luck

No one was bidding on this pistol so I jumped in. So all said and done I saved about $135.00 from normal price on this particular pistol landed and transfered to me at my FFL dealer...I was very excited to win it for that kind on money.

That is a nice looking pistol...but keep in mind that there are many Kimber owners here who have had no problems...enjoy!

NIce pistol! I'm looking at the STI 1911s too. Great looking guns and priced right comparatively IMO. Looking forward to the range report.

Thanks and understood on Kimbers as I do like them.

In fact I still own 2 Kimbers in my collection that I have working fine now but out of the box they needed work to run 100% reliable. I just decided to go with the STI after some extra research rather than take somewhat of a chance on the Kimber Ultra Carry on this particular purchase.

It's easy to "win". Just bid more than everyone else.
I've bought a few things, but I set my limit and don't go over it.

You really won if the price was right, because that is one fine looking firearm!
