    Kahr P380 Range Report

I previously tested a Crimson Trace LaserGuard LG-437 on my Kahr PM9 and love it. Since the LG-433 just became available for the Kahr P380, I was eagerly anticipating it. It did not disappoint.

My Kahr P380 has been flawless with FMJ. This is my second range session and first with the laser. I shot 200 FMJ (Winchester), 20 Federal JHP and 20 Speer Gold Dot. I had one failure to go into battery with the Federal. I crossed it off my list for carry. Speer has always run flawlessly in all of my guns. Recoil was very easy. I actually shot my PM9 for a few rounds and was surprised at the difference in recoil.

Out of the box, the LG-433 was shooting high and to the right. I shot a few rounds without the laser and confirmed it. The LG-437 for the PM9 was perfect out of the box. It took about 20 rounds to correct the alignment.

Attached are pictures from 25' (P380 on bottom) and 50' (P380 on top). It's as accurate as I was hoping. I did shoot one a little high on the 50' due to a double tap, but I just need more practice. ;)

Now I just need a pocket holster. On a related note, I'm thinking of buying an Ruger LCP now to replace my Kel-Tec P32.

You can't go wrong with a Kahr!

Sig P-238, but then you'll be spoiled for the other two.

Nice little Kahr. If I pickup another .380 that would be the one. I'm thinking being that it'll handle the hotter .380 rounds, and as small as it is, IMO it's the perfect pocket pistol.

You could always try one of their all steel guns. Very well made and more pleasant to shoot than their polymer guns. I have a MK9 and I love shooting it. I don't carry it since the PM9 is much more comfortable.

The P45 or PM45. Or hold out for an MK9 or elite of some sort.
