    Ruger LCP problem

Ok, I have new Ruger LCP about two weeks old. Fired 50 rounds though it about three days ago. No problems. Today I was trying to take a round out of the chamber and unload the weapon for cleaning. First I remove the magazine, next I try to pull the slide to eject the chambered round. Well, no luck with pulling the slide back. It will pull about 1/4" and stick in that position. Pull it again and it will return to the start position.
Obviously I am not going to force it and will take it to a gunsmith right away.
Has anyone else had or heard of this problem?

That may work if he don't have any neighbors. Hope he don't live in a apartment.

I know of someone who had this problem. His solution was to replace the springs with Wolff springs.
Look to get the 11lb version and you will be good to go. You can also polish the feed ramp and see how that works first.
    Check it out here
Good luck and let us know how you made out .

What type of ammo were you using. I had some crappy ammo jam up in my slide while getting ready to shoot. It would leave the gun out of battery and I had to put the tip against a piece of wood and get my body weight into it just to get the chamber back open.

That being said, I own two LCP's and have never had that happen.

There is at least part of your problem... I had a problem with 88gr ammo when I first got mine. I called Ruger and they stated that you have to use at least 90gr ammo or the bullet would hang up the gun.

My slide would not go into battery and it was hard to extract the round when attempting.

I would first give Ruger a call and explain it to them and let us know the outcome of the call.

88 gr Remington is actually my LCP's favorite out of the 3 that I have tried.

Sometimes it not even so much the weight of the bullet as it may be the design. My Kahr that I mentioned above has shot every different brand and grain of bullet until I tried that Magtech crap. Jammed while going into battery every time.

I don't know if I'd do that or not. That could cause some serious damage to both the pistol and the hand holding it. FWIW
