My "new" 1911 Sc with pics

I picked up a new to me S&W 1911 Sc a bit ago...just to good a deal to pass up.

Came with Trijicons, 2 holsters (Galco paddle with snap and custom OWB), along with factory case, paperwork and mags...all for the low, low price of...who cares, it was MY deal

Got to the range and threw a few hundred rounds through, then a few hundred more the next day (both target and carry ammo). Never skipped a beat, even with limp wristing, upside down and everything in between!

For those unfamiliar with the little Smith 1911, it is a 4.25" Commander sized model with scandium alloy frame and 2 eight shot Novak mags.

    My impressions are-
Heavy trigger but it is typical 1911 awesome, with no creep and...you know the drill.
More accurate than I am or most likely will ever be.
Carries like you would expect an alloy framed Commander should...SWEET!
I love the fact it runs a bushing up front and stripping is straight forward for a 1911.
I wish Smith had sent it with a short guide rod from the factory, but I am fixing that...to save a bit of weight.

Thought I would add a few pictures...nothing pretty and a few got away from me on paper...but I am really happy with it!

Congratulations on your S &W Sc. This is a pic of mine which I bought when they first came out several years ago. They all had the "billboard" on the side which was the subject of much griping and complaining so S & W eventually changed it and now the pistol is called the "PD".

I have several K through my Sc and it has never, ever had a problem. It is everything the OP says and a lot more too.

I paid $750, it was a consignment and I got it down from $800...I love consignments.

Thank you, it is not my first Smith by a long shot...and yes I have found them to be the most reliable auto I have had!

I personally feel that Smith makes one of the nicest 1911's around! Not the tightest (not by any means loose either), and I would say that it is perfect, these things just flat out run, even when run dirty (I have tested that)!

Yeah, most definately. Don't ask me why they didn't. I have a 5" 1911PD (actually for sale now) and they finally got it right with that model
