    Williams fire sights?

I apologize if this is in the wrong spot. I considered sticking it in the "Other Gear" section but wasn't sure.

Any one out there using Williams Fire Sights? I am interested in a set for my PT145. They seem well priced in addidtion to being the only company I have found so far to make night sights for the 3rd Gen MilPro's. I don't mind the Straight 8 sights currently on the gun but I do want night sights for sure. Is it a fairly quality product?

I certainly like mine! I own a 2nd generation Millennium Pro PT145...the one that is DAO...and this generation Tarui has screw-in sights so it was a quick job for me.

It all comes down to going down the dark holes after monsters. Thatís what itís all about; when everyone else is huddled around the campfire, somebody has to go out and fight.

I tried a friend's gun with them and will not use them on mine. They're great in moderate to high light, but, unlike tritium-type sights, disappear in low light or darkness. There is no residual glow.

If they make them for your pistol, try the Tru-Glo TFO (Tritium/Fiber Optic) sights. Bright under just about all conditions. I have them on my Glock 26 and like them a lot.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

Have them on my Kimber .45 and would not have anything else. In the process of doing the same for all my carry's, well worth the $$

Do they still glow in total darkness?

No, the fiber optic sites arent illuminated, but they do work well in fairly low light. I have some on a rifle with good results
