Do people here not like it? Its on my wishlist, I've fired one a few times with both .45 and .410 and I have to say, even though it beat up my hand, it was a blast to shoot (no pun intended)

I think its mainly the .410 as a defense round people dont like.

That would be correct - especially out of such a short barrel.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

It's a fun gun to shoot. A friend of mine has one, and he's had 5 people buy one of their own after shooting his.
But the .410 is somewhat less than ideal for self defense. The .45 colt is a different story.

I think it's a good choice for "home" defense, especially with the .410. Imagine a BG getting blasted with a 3" load of, say, #3 buckshot. It may not be the deadliest round ever invented, but it sure packs a whollop of discouragement, would definitely have a larger hit percentage, and fear of penetrating walls is reduced.

Seeing as most BGs are going to beat feet if detected in the home, and no one wants a load of shot in the butt, I think it's more than adequate for home defense. A carry weapon? Probably not, but I'm sure there's a few out there "undercover."

Let's not overlook the usefulness of .45 Colt loaded hot in a modern revolver as a defense cartridge. I think this could make a heck of a BUG (back-up gun)...
