    Taurus PT911 Anyone else?

Being new here I have been reading allot. I checked out the search function on here looking for anything related to the PT911 There is almost zero post about it. I've owned it for two years now and love it. I'm looking to use it as my main CC gun. What I'm running into is a lack of options for holsters. I emailed Crossbreed, they say one of there supertuck for a sig 228 will fit. does this sound right? any other options.

    Thanks
    Al

I'm not fond of Taurus guns. But this gun did catch my eye recently.

It's also the gun that Tommy Lee Jones called a Nickel Plated Sissy pistol in US Marshals. lol

I kinda want one though. Not a bad looking gun.

My girfriend wants the one with gold bling.

Ha, I didn't know that. I always wondered what gun that was.

Well, it looks like Sig clone, so I guess the 228 holster would fit. Crossbreed should know...

I looked at the 911 at one time. Unfortunately it did not feel good in my hand so I passed on it. I have personally never had a problem with Taurus firearms.

According to IMFDB.org, it was a PT-945, the .45 ACP version of the PT-911.

U.S. Marshals - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database

I always found that kind of funny. I have no issues with polymer guns (I carry one) but the rest of the U.S marshal guys are carrying plastic 9mm glocks and Tommy Lee Jones is calling that guys steel .45 a sissy pistol.

I agree, it seems awfully counterintuitive.

I have a blued PT911 with wood grips in 9mm that I really like. Picked it up for a song nearly new from a guy at work. I've shot at least 600 rounds of various ammo, hollow point as well as hardball, and have never had a hiccup. I too would like to find a holster for it and carry it from time to time. I know Taurus has a spotty rep but mine has performed very well. Accurate too.

Well it was a Taurus. lol

They were carrying .40s but still thats no .45

One of the writers must've been a Glock guy. He said to get the glock at the beginning and near the end when he swapped the mags it was like a sales pitch lol.
In The Fugitive they all didn't carry Glocks.

There was a mistake there though. When he swapped the full mag for the empy one he didn't check the chamber. When the BG pulled the glock out, it went "CLICK", therefore the striker was cocked and there should have been a round in the chamber.

I've long wondered how much they paid the movie's producers for "product placement". The movie comes across as one big Glock commercial... not that there's anything wrong with that. Very shrewd marketing, indeed.

I have a pt945....I'd put it up against a glock anytime(so there Tommy Lee.)one good thing is if you run out of bullets, you could beat someone over the head w/ it.
