I've carried the 85 some and shot one a lot. It's a great little gun. Get a set of Wolff lightweight springs for it and you'll be amazed at the difference. It'll be like a different gun. Mine has been totally reliable and plenty accurate enough for "social work". It's capable of shooting +p all day. I carried Hornady Short Barrel ammo in mine. Make sure the grips REALLY fit your hand. I went through several before I found a set of three-finger Pachmyers that I liked and allowed me to hold on to the little bugger.

On days when I'm working and have to leave my gun in the car I'll throw on my 85. Loaded with Federal Personal Defense ammo I have confidence in it.

I'll carry an 85CH. Also have a 605 (.357 mag) in a 2" snub. But I've only used 38 in them. Both very reliable.

You sure its a 2.5 inch and not a 3"?

I've got one of each,a two and a three incher but I have never seen a 2.5" Model 85.

I'm getting the "no can do" message on your pics.

85's are great guns (Even Tauus haters generally agree this is the one Taurus really got right). I carry the 85 in Stainless. Love it.

yup I have a CH85 and its great im getting ready to do some work on the trigger or have some done though the trigger is quite stiff/heavy BUT its still a solid nice CC gun at a reasonable price.
