I haven't shot it yet but I did check it out here in CT. This pistol is on the top of my list to get. Just from holding it it felt real balanced and fit my hand very well. Evem without the grip extension. I would guess with the extension it will feel even better. With any luck I'll be shooting it very son.

I fondled one at the shop yesterday. Im telling ya Im a Glock guy but I liked the feel of this gun in my hand more than my G23. Michael Bane has a great video review at The Ruger SR9 Compact (Video) | Down Range TV

the SR9C or a citadel/RIA 4" or 3.5" 1911 will probably be my next gun...perhaps what I trade the Glock 23 in on.

Haven't shot one yet, but it sure felt good holding it. I really like that it comes with a full size mag and the grip extension. Very cool. It's on the list.

Also, I gotta second C Bennett. There's a compact Citadel 1911 I keep seeing, I just don't know anything about that brand. Don't trade that G23 though, sell it outright!

I did something I've never done before, (I hope I don't regret it) I ordered one from Bud's, ($398 delivered) without ever seeing, handling or firing one. I should have it on Tuesday. I will right a review as soon as I get it and have a chance to wring it out.

I wonder if there are plans to:

    1) make it California legal

    2) make it in other calibers like .40 and 357SIG

    Love the SR9C

Just got my SR9C today, been ordered a month. If anyone ever built a gun just for me, it was Ruger and the SR9C! Fits well, trigger is great, feeds with no problems, printed right on from the factory -- well with about 6 clicks up at 7 yards -- bigger than the mouse gun I carried for a year, but this is the REAL DEAL!!! It's intuitive to me, well made and goes bang when it's supposed to.

I'm not a purist, and I do like Rugers, but this IS A GOOD GUN!!!

    Dan
