If you want to clean up a few marks on a stainless gun, do not use any sort of car or motorcycle polish! They will leave you with a brite chrome looking finish. Use a green Scothbrite pad and be sure to rub in the direction it was polished at the factory---if you want a slightly brighter finish use a leadaway cloth---just don't get too carried away with the cloth or you will end up with a chrome like finish. The Scothbrite pad will produce a satin finish very much like original factory look. Good luck.

Thanks! I'm going to try a scotch brite pad tomorrow. I took the entire thing apart today, EVERY piece out of it and cleaned it spotless, oiled it and put it back together. It's in great shape, it was dirty but not from firing, just lint and dirt from being carried. All the pieces and springs are in great shape, it really was an awesome deal. Just have to polish up the outside tomorrow (which really isn't going to take a lot there isn't much wear) and get a new grip.

Congrats! Nice Smith. Extra mags and a good carry rig...you're in business! Maybe a "tune-up" from Smith if you need it! Good Luck!

Thanks...the trigger when in SA has quite a bit of play that I'm not sure is normal but other than that The things barley been fired, took it completely apart all the pieces are in GREAT shape.

Any holster suggestions? I'm thinking about going with another crossbreed.

Accuracy ALWAYS WINS! So carry what you can hit with.

You can't go wrong with a 3rd gen S&W. My dad bought my mother a 3913 many years ago and she carried it in her glovebox. Now he carries it on his side everywhere they go. He's in his upper 60's now and can still shoot out the center of the target from 25ft.
