2. Trade it in on something lese
Well today in my journeys I stopped by a local dealer and asked if they had one..he said the UPS guy just came by earlier and he had to check..well it was my lucky day they had them...I asked if I could trade in my Glock 23 on one he said sure...the difference was almost 1/2 what the grip job would have cost so I jumped on it...im now a proud owner of a Ruger SR9c...I chose the Black one they had bot the 2 tone and all black for same price.

Bennett....range report request, please. We fully expect it by this time tomorrow, too! Please let us know how you/it shoots asap. I've got a buddy who just got one. The next time I see him, we'll be going for a test drive, so I plan to report too.
Not something I would have done, but then you're the one who has to be happy. Congrat on the new pistola.
How soon do you think you'll be buying a new Glock?

Yup, well worth it to me. its not like it was a Brand new Glock23 or anything it was a Police turn in 2nd Gen Glock 23 with holster wear..I even only paid $400 for it and that included tax and everything(the guy was asking $400 and I said IF you can do everything tax, checks, all the extras for $400 I will do it and he agreed) so yeah it was well worth it to get a NEW gun of basically equal value..I am guessing I actually paid closer to $ $375 or so back then and dont know if he charged for the background check or not. so sure im happy. got a NEW gun that fits my hand got rid of a older gun that didnt fit my hand and the cost was 1/2 of what the grip job would have cost at $50 so yup I think I did fine..I tried to sell($375 straight up) the Glock for 2 YEARS no one even as much as nibbled..I tried to trade it straight up for something of equal value that would have fit my hand..again not a nibble. so I spent $50 instead of $150 for a grip job and came away with a gun I like more..
Man, why can't I ever meet people like you in trade?
Handsome looking gun.
I wish you would have..I could not for 2 years straight sell it for $375 or trade it for ANYHTING of value..the closest I got offer for a trade was
1. A S&W Sigma
2. A XD sub compact from a guy on a gin board that had 7 posts and was in Alabama(im in PA) I dont know if im THAT trusting...
3. A Llama MiniMax .45 ACP
thats IT. I had it listed at work, locally, on Glock Talk, Here(i think) and on the S&W forum for $375 or trade..not a bite..well at least not anything worth doing.
yup good deal I paid $50 for a brand new gun and got rid of a 2nd Gen glock that probably cost me $375 4-5 years ago(I got it $400 out the door with tax and the transfer all included in the $400) so whats not to like..I was gonna have to send the Glock for a $150 grip job anyways(+shipping to the guy that does them in Texas) so I spent $50 in the difference and got a brand new gun instead...to ME thats a good deal..I DONT consider Ruger a "lower" gun than a Glock I consider them a EQUAL.

defiantley a good deal for me new gun for old and the new gun(IMO) is a nicer gun I can just hope its as reliable though it should be. the Ruger was $405 he gave me about $350 for the Glock and I only paid $375 for it..unless your just a Glock fan I dont see that as a loss. oh Plus I got a box of ammo some HD/sd 124 grain Gold Dot HP's
