    Trying to Decide!!!!!

I am trying to decide between 3 9mm compact handguns... Glock 26, S&W M&P 9C and a Ruger SR9C. I looked at all 3 of them today and I have owned several Glocks and have wound up selling them for one reason or another. Out of all 3 I really liked the SR9C the best..it had the best trigger out of the 3 and is thinner than the rest too... Just can't decide... never have owned a fullsize Ruger before... Thanks Robbie

Have you looked at the XD9sc? It's generally lumped with the G26 and M&P9c. It may be worth checking out as well. They all seem to be great guns with very few people complaining about them. The only one I would be unsure about is the Ruger since it's so new.

I had a XD SC 9mm...it was a fine pistol...but a little too thick for my liking...it was accurate too..

Is there a significant difference between the thickness of the XDs, Glocks, and M&P's? I always thought they felt the same to me.(They feel completely different, but as far as thickness goes, I thought they'd be about the same.)

Of the 3, the Glock has the best track record. I had a 26 that I wish I didn't have to sell. It was a great little CCW. The M&P felt nice in the hand, but I never shot it. I have never examined the new line of Rugers.

My biased opinion would be to get the 26. You are going to get a lot of differing opinions. Eventually you will have to make a decision for yourself.

I held the 3 that I am comparing side by side today and the Ruger was the thinnest of the 3. I originally set out for a G26...cause well its a Glock and you know its gonna run fine...but I eyed the SR9c and it fits my hand better and is a bit less expensive... decisions....decisions... I just never warmed up to my XD...it shot great and was very accurate..just never gave me that warm fuzzy feeling...Robbie

The Glock-26, a dependable weapon that is easy to conceal.

I cannot give a fair assessment of the ruger because it's new and i have not shot it. I would choose the M&P

Out of those choices, go with the M&P. I say this only because it won by landslide. All the others I dont really care for much. The XD is, IMO, is the better of all three.

I would go with the M&P but that's me. I love the M&P 40c but the 9 is nice too!

Glocks are good guns but for me they just don't feel right in my hand. The only glock I would buy is the G29 in 10mm. other than that you can't go wrong with a S&W.
Vermont does not issue Permit/Licenses to Carry a Concealed firearm. Vermont allows anyone

    I've owned the M&P9C and the G26 and I vote the G26.
You said you never "warmed" to the XD , well I'm the
    same way about the M&P9C.
There was nothing wrong with it , I just liked the G26 better.
Maybe once you've had Glock you can never go back.hee hee :)

Pick whatever fits best in your hand. Either of the three will be fine.
