I carry GD 230 SBs in my G30. but in all honesty, I think a .45 anything is going to do the job.

I run 230 gr. Gold Dot in my 30, but with the availability of quality defensive ammunition that is out there today, pick one and go with it. The Hornady Critical Defense is quite impressive in all the testing I've seen.

Any jacketed hollow point will do in 45. I use Winchester 185 grain silvertips in my Glock 30 and have never had a jam or failure to feed.

My G36 will devour anything and everything I feed it. I have yet to find a load that won't work.
Just to keep up the trend so far, I am also partial to 230grn GDHP.

You haven't really seen the potential of the tiny 36 until you've fed it some Cor-Bon "short barrel" loads, which uses a Barnes DPX bullet at 165 grains. Light recoil, nice velocity, top-grade bullet, big ol' hole in the target.
Stock my 36 with 230 Gr. Fed. HST.

gold dot works well. just about any 45acp will do the job.
