Help...Chrome P3AT or LCP

Got a itchin for a pocket .380. My GS has both the P3AT chrome slide and the LCP black. The P3AT is $320.00 and Ruger $350.00. I actually like the looks of the P3AT with the matte chrome slide. Are these triggers basically the same? Cant decide which one. Im looking for reliability over looks. HELP!

The chrome P-3AT is slightly overpriced. The black LCP is way overpriced.

Many P-3AT owners have reported that the chromed slides have functioned better than blued or Parkerized slides.

Thats as cheap as you can find em in my area. $275.00 on Gunbroker +shipping+transfer fee=no cheaper.

I've owned both and based on my experiences with them, I'd go with the LCP.

They both do appear to be overpriced, though. You could do better elsewhere.

The Kel-Tec should be around $275 and the Ruger about $300

I have fired a co-workers P3AT and my wife owns a Ruger LCP. They are both good firearms.

My opinion, go with the Ruger. Not bashing the P3AT, I just believe the Ruger is a better pistol.

the p3at is the better deal. but both guns are over priced. shop around, you can beat that price. at the last knife and beef jerky show i went to they had p3at at $275.00 and up. p32 were under $230.00.

Never underestimate the utility of a good mousegun. I recently bought this one and I love it. It is liberating to just toss it into a pocket and not have to "suit up" every time you want to go get gas or run to the corner store.

Get them both and ask them to cut you a deal since you are buying two at once.

I paid $310 for a "normal" P3AT a few weeks ago. Within a half days driving distance here in Oregon it is the going rate for the P3AT. As the OP said, better deals can be found, but figuring in shipping or gas to pick-up brings it back up to around that price. Gun shows might cut you a better deal, but I didn't expect one to be in town anytime soon.

The chrome P3AT you talk about was going for $365 and the LCR for similar. I chose the P3AT because I knew it was comparable to the LCR... roughly the same number of people recommending and saying positive things. I'm not one who cares how the gun looks - I just want it to fire, so I went with the cheaper option. I've been happy with it.

There is a hard chrome Ruger LCP that is starting to become available in stores. I actually bought one yesterday for $315. I traded in a hard chrome Kel-Tec P32 and the finish on the Ruger is much better.

My wife and I both carry P3ATs and are very happy with both of them.

The Kel Tec P3AT has been around for some time and is a proven performer.

380acp may seen under powered, but there is not as much over penetrating problem with HP ammo as say 9mm, yet up close and personal the 380 is very effective.

I have them both and love them both. I've shot the KelTec more with NO problems. The one thing I do like about the LCP is that the slide locks open. They are both great little guns. I carry my keltec more just because I like the feel of it a little better. I think you would be happy with either.....or both:)
