I have had a 9mm PPS for over a year. Have put over 3000 mixed rounds thru it. No issues. I do not have personal experience with the T

    Brand name

Based on the reputations of the two gun companies, I would always get a Walther instead of a Taurus.

I believe the slide issues with the PPS were only in the First Edition and that the problem is now fixed.

I have heard about numerous Taurus 709 duds. Some from owners on this forum.

I also would never pick a Taurus over a Walther.

I don't have first hand experience with either, but after reading threads on here and other sites, I hear way more issues with Taurus than Walther. Maybe it's because Taurus sells more? I'm not sure, but I try to learn from the misfortune of others. (While keeping in mind that ANY company can produce a lemon)

I have two of the PPS pistols, one 40 S&W and one 9mm. Have never had a problem with either. While I don't have personal experience with the 709 and the Taurus revolvers that I own have been flawless, I'd pick the PPS simply because of Taursus' reputation for lack of customer service if you do have a problem.

I have an older Walther 9mm (not a PPS) and a Taurus 709. The Walther is a terrific gun, very fun to shoot and very accurate. The 709 is not as fun or not quite as accurate, but it's a lot easier to carry and it doesn't give anything up reliability-wise or accuracy-wise at less than 30 ft. It's a great carry weapon.

I was checking out the PPS at the local gun shop. I really liked the size and feel of this gun for EDC. When I got home I did a search on it and found PPS talk forum. There is some stuff that made me second guess my choice. But it looks like if stay away from First run I should be OK? Anyone have any more pic's of how your carry the PPS.

I do have a PPS in 9mm and am very happy with it.

    I don't own a Taurus so I can't really help out with a comparison.

I own a PPS .40 and the only issues i've had are some grip issues where i limp wristed which caused some FTE's. I also had the extractor pop out when i was at the range. The gunsmith at my range was able to put it back in and explained that it might not have been set in and locked correctly when it was assembled. Since then I have not had any issues and was able to use it for my shooting test for my CWP.
