Help on picking out a new .45 for carry

Try to come up with another C note and go for the XD. I bought it 3 weeks ago, and I'm in love!13 rounds of 45 ACP in the mag, great feel, and shoots great!

My G30 has never malfunctioned, and is at near the top of my daily carry list (along with the G23). Had a Taurus 945, no problems, now Rhome owns it (part of a trade).

BIG +1 for the XD45 tactical. I enjoy mine very much. So much I reload for it now.

And no, that's not why he shot himself. He shot himself becasus (1)he did verify his weapon was unloaded and (2) he decided to pull the trigger (for some unknown reason) while it wasn't pointed in a safe direction. Things that will get you in trouble with any handgun.

Rule #1 Treat every weapon as they are loaded, even when you have insured it to be unloaded.

I just realized that I said "it wasn't pointed in a unsafe direction". It should have been "it wasn't pointed in a safe direction".
