Looking for any feedback on the Ruger SR 9 in compact. Looks like a sweet carry gun, but maybe a little small in grip area. I am average to large hands (Ruger P89 and XDm 40 fit well). Would like a compact and am considering this gun and the SA XD 40 Sub. Thoughts? Thanks.
Better to have and to hold, than to leave in the nightstand.....
I traded a Glock 23(second gen about 1997 make I believe) and I got the better end of that deal! love it. as soon as I get my holster now that I have around 350 rounds through it its gonna be my daily carry.
I didn't buy one (I couldn't, after I fell in love with and handled one, I found out it was the only one that dealer could get his hands on and he wasn't going to part with it and no, I could not rent it to try it on for size.
No one in my vicinity has one for sale. Online I have seen a couple, but I'm not really interested in buying a gun online.
I ended up buying a Glock 22, which I'm very happy with.
But... that Ruger SR9c was a beaut. If I ever am able to rent and shoot one, I may end up buying it as my BUG.
I am a person with big hands. I shot the Glock's in compact and subcompact and decided to go full-size as a result. The SR9c grip, which granted I have never been able to shoot with, seemed plenty big enough for my hand, especially with the second, 17 round capacity mag.
I liked it very much. That's my 2c.
