There is a Taurus 1911 thread on here somwhere. I recommend against it. I have one. Also had a PT-140. I am not a basher who's never had a Taurus. That's all I gotta say.

over the years i have owned many taurus guns. some where bad, some had small problems, some need some f&b, and some were ok. just never know which i would get untill i got it to the range. now this was many mango season ago. heard they have gotten better with their guns.

Congratulations on the layaway. I have three Taurus and have not had any problems with any of them.

I had a PT 911 not the 1911 mind you. I put 1000's of rounds though it with no issues. Now days Taurus makes a good gun.

I have looked at them but the only prices I have seen could get me a Springfield, and I would rather have a Springer... what'd you pay? Heard good things about RIA and mixed on the Taurus, let us know how it does periodically!

I have one and can honestly say you want be sorry one bit. Shoots fantastic and I am a lousy shot. HA HA

Thanks all for your reply's pro taurus or not and as for staring a new thread similar to another,donn't reply if it bothers you.I'm just trying to educate myself on weapons that i would like or have purchased by reading feedback from y'all.My decision is mine but it's nice to know others are interested in helping with a weapon purchase.That's why i joined this forum.
