I am looking into getting the Walther PPS 9mm, every gun shop I go to the gun has the longer magazine with finger extension and does not come with any other magazine. When I get online to find the smaller, flush fit, magazine .....they all seem to be out and unable to be back ordered. Did they discontinue the flush fit magazine for this gun? Or will I just need to do some heavy searching in order to find one?

Are those not new guns in the shop you're looking at? Walther includes 6 & 7 round mags for the 9mm model (I think 5&6 for .40).

Ya they are new guns, and I was surprised myself that they only came with the one magazine. Both at Gander Mountain, and 2 private gun shops it was the same answer.Originally Posted by nlax2011

The Walther PPS today only ships with one mag, the 7 rd. I have purchased other mags at Earls's just for the reason they were available.
My Walther PPS is also 9mm, you may be able to purchase at Walther America at a slightly lower price, however you need to check availability.

I just checked with Earl's website , the 6 & 7 round are 55.00. I have ordered from them before, and am happy with their service.

Hmmm... didnt know they had changed that. Came with 2 when I got mine, and still lists that on Walther's PPS webpage.

You can also contact smith and wesson and buy just the flush floorplate to turn your 7 rounder into a 6 round. Its relatively cheap. I can't recall the price off the top of my head though.
