I normally bike and when biking I carry a 1911 in a shoulder holster. However, I do run (OK, I jog slowly) on occassion and I found this to be an ideal way to carry a decent size gun. I put on a jock strap and compression shorts and use a Don Hume IWB clip holster. Damn, it holds my Kimber Tactical Ultra high and tight. It really works!

I use a Lacoste waist pack I picked up in Italy and its great! So, another vote for the less attractive American fanny-pak. Unfortunately, the Euro styles are not available in the US. Or at least I haven't found a single one.

I carry my LCP for running, carry it in something very similar to the Pistol Wear product and it works great. I will see how well that works this summer when the temperature rises. I can't image carrying my 9 while running though. When at the gym, I have a small duffel I carry around and keep my gun in that. Never leaves my side. I would prefer to have it on me though.

The Pistol Wear could hold a 9mm no problem.

    Kickin' a gun pack

I bought an elite model two tone special run gun pack from Kickin A. http://www.tommysgunpack.com/
I love the thing. I wear it when jogging and riding my road bicycle. They are always running sales. Just have to put your name on the mailing list and every few months or so they will e-mail you a deal. The original runs $80, but I think they just sold them for $35 free shipping. I got my deluxe model for $80 shipped IIRC. My wife thought it looked dorky at first, but she understands it is a good carry option.

Doesn't anyone here sweat when they work out?!?!?!?! I cannot find anything that wont keep the gun from turning into a sopping mess.

It was particularly humid today so I decided to test my Pistol Wear pouch. I wrapped my revolver in a paper towel since I figured it may be hard to see a small bit of sweat on the gun but easy to see on the paper towel. I hit my workout and I sweat a fair bit but not profusely by any means.

*FAIL* the top of the paper towel was all wet! So when it actually starts to get hot and humid the Pistol Wear will do zero good.

What do you all think about me putting my revolver in a little sandwich bag and then in the pistol wear? I believe you wouldn't need to remove the bag to grip and fire the pistol if the situation arose.

    Wink

I guess just carrying it in your hand is out, hunh?

That WOULD be the easiest way...

...and no one would mess with you!

That which does not kill us leaves us broken and bleeding...

Don’t mess with the guy who can barely stand up. His remaining options for self-defense don't include your survival.
