    Newest ClearTuc for PPK

I started carrying my PPK last week again after several years and noticed my options for CC were very limited; after such a long period in the safe with no action. None of my holster really worked to well, so I decided to attempt another IWB solution. Here's a few pics of the finished prototype and it works perfectly. I'll use it for the next few weeks and see how it holds up. I'm gonna add the clear belt hooks with velcro sometime later today. Anyway just thought I'd share and see what some of you folks think.

    Cheers.

    Pretty cool idea..!

What type of "plastic" are you using and did you mold with a heat gun.?
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

It's a PETG material sorta like kydex, but clear. It's about 1/16" thick and all I did was heat it in the oven at 350 for about one minute. Once it was ready I just positioned over the pistol and used a hand towel and my fingers to mold it around the weapon. It cools very quickly and in less than a few seconds it's crush resistant to a pretty high level. I'm gonna make a few other items like a mag pouch or two a little later today and see how they work out. I'll post pics once I'm done.

The heat gun thing would be ideal, but I don't have one, so for now it the whirlpool kitchen oven..

    Cheers!
