    Hume JIT Slide Belt Holster

Anyone have experience with this holster? Looking for a smallish holster for my baby Glocks (26/36) which will hold the gun tight and close to my waist.

    Thanks.

You will get what you pay for. Quality is so-so and retention is poor for an OWB. You can do better.

Two OWB straight drops that come to mind are the Bulman High Ride and the Mitch Rosen Upper Limit.

If you want a canted holster, the possibilities are almost endless and IMO much better than the JIT.

Ditto on above. J.I.T. is just not that great for a close hold. I have and like the Rosen President Express for my Glock. It holds it close and tight. For a "high and tight", Rosen's Upper Limit is aslo tops. Kramer makes an awesome belt scabbard too. I carry my Kahr in one of those OWB.

I have one for a Ruger SP101 and hate it. The retention really sucks and even with a good gun belt, seems to flop outwards.

I like mine. I have one for a Ruger LCR. I don't think mine sags away.
It is wearing in some, so with a few more months of use, it may start to do so. Here it is, being worn with a military style web belt.

I've got one that I keep around for different length Glocks. For the money they aren't bad holsters. Mine seems to hold a lot tighter to the body with better retention than the other posters above. It serves it's purpose as a temporary solution for me when needed. Seeing as you can often find them for $20 and less on different forums, it's head and shoulders above anything from Uncle Mike's.

Doesnt hold close but works for a cheap OWB holster. I'm using one to wear around the house until my RCS Phantom comes in for my PM9. I did have to stretch the leather for a few days by using 2 plastic bags. For $20 you can't beat it

Spend the money and get a Pure Kustom Pro, you can wear it anywhere in about any position.

I use mine almost every day. It used to fit fairly snug to the body but my body pushed back and now it sticks out a bit. Definitely use a gun belt, not a flimsy one. It is NOT a retention holster.

I carry my Springfield XD 9sc all day in a JIT. Very comfortable and conceals well for me.

I just ordered a JIT for my new Kahr P45. I did look at the Mitch Rosen UL, but my god, $145 for just the holster? I've bought complete rigs (good ones)for that money. I may eventually try it, but I'm afraid that my expectations are very high to go with that price.

I carry a G 27 in the Don Hume H721 OT like this one.

    H721 O.T. [H721 O.T.] - $49.45 : Don Hume Leathergoods, manufactures high quality leather and nylon goods.

If you are on a budget, this is not a bad option. It holds very close to the body.

I use it with a airweight j-frame as my working in the yard carry. Raking, mowing, tree trimming, gardening, digging, you name it; hasn't failed in retention yet.

I recently got one for my new G30, while waiting for the Sideguard I ordered for it. It is also the first OWB holster I've bought. I carried the g30 all day the other day with it, no problems at all and quite comfortable. I must however mention I am a female and I think my hips help with keeping close to the body, I carried it about 4:00 OWB and it was perfect.

I have one for my S&W 3913. I've been using it for over a year with no problems. I am very happy with it and have no problems recommending it to you.
