Which holsters do you all use to CC your Colt Cobra? Is it true that holsters made to fit the Ruger SP101 will fit the Colt Cobra?
I use an Alessi CQC/S for OWB carry and a AKJ Concealco for IWB. Some but definitely not all SP101 holsters will fit but it won't be a good one. Your much better off getting a holster cut to fit the Cobra/Det Special and quite a few makers do have the dummies to make one.
I just got one for my Cobra/Detective Special from Tim at TT.
Can't recommend this holster highly enough. It's an OWB pancake with a very high ride.
CCW permit holder for Idaho, Utah, Pennsylvania, Maine and New Hampshire. I can carry in your country but not my own.
I use High Noon Slide Guard for my Cobra
I currently use a Milt Sparks PMK for my Detective Special. Virtually same gun. My holster was originally formed for a J frame Smith&Wesson Mdl 60
I found using the good ol' waxpaper trick most leather holsters molded for S&W J frames can be made to fit for the Colt D frames. Takes some coaxing, but turns out very satisfactory. The Colt D frame and the S&W J frame are very close in size, with the Colt having a tad larger cylinder.
Also, I am waiting in line for a snubbie holster from this guy...Bobby Mac's- "Just Snub Holsters" He only builds snubbie rigs.
