I would certainly try another maker
Sorry that happened. I don't remember the details. You may have had an unfulfilled expectation or we had a mis-communication on what you needed. It's not a common occurrence.
Glad you're happy with what you got.

Sometimes the capital isn't there to buy more leather. So you have to finish what you can and hope everyone pays so you can keep going. This will delay things too. Six months is a good amount of time to wait for a nice holster. Same for nice leather shoes.

Fortunately, we're in good shape financially; it's just been too many orders, too little time.
The new folks we've hired are already helping Tucker clear out a lot of backlog.

I have had nothing less than great communication response from Rob. He is Johnny-on-the-spot with the emails!

I decided not to cancel my order. After 9 months surely it's getting close to hitting the bench.
I had a black cherry HF1 ordered. But I saw a picture of a black one with the white thread somewhere and decided I had to have black so Rob changed my order.

A woman can make a baby in less time than they can make a holster. I don't believe any holster is worth waiting that long for. 2,3 weeks maybe. Anything longer, there are to many other option IMO

Sometimes, it takes years for a woman to conceive.
I'm just saying.....
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I wasn't talking about the trying to conceive part.
@ Tucker: With all due respect, beautiful work but probably not.

If it took that long to make a holster then I would agree but it takes that long to make hundreds of holsters, if you think he only has 1 order and it takes that long then you're not that smart are you.

My new Tucker Texas Heritage
As promised, a review of my new Tucker Heritage:
I have only had it for one day, but so far nothing but positives to report.
First off, it is a beautiful piece of leather, amazingly soft and smooth, much more so than any other holster I own. Its texture is really like a fine wallet. I have noticed with most of my other leather holsters that they are hard as a rock, this one is more pliable and that meant that it was comfortable from the moment I put it on, sort of like the way a really good pair of well fitting shoes are comfortable without a need to break them in.
Like the leather, the quality of the leather-work is also first rate. I own six leather holsters and this one is tied with my Mitch Rosen for highest quality leather work. The stitching is even and precise with all ends neatly tied/cut.
I also like the hardware. Some of the IWB holsters I have with plastic clips tend to move around quite a bit, this one is held in with torx screws and after adjusting it and tightening the screws, the clips have not moved a bit. I also like the way the back end of the screws have been hidden, not drilled all the way through to the back of the holster; it looks neater and probably contributes to how comfortable it is.
I really like the holster design too. It is without a doubt, the slimmest IWB I have and did not print even under a T-shirt. The cant and ride hight are perfect too. Now the trade-off to get this slim fit is that the mouth is not reinforced, but I was willing to make that trade off. Experimenting with an unloaded gun, I was able to re-holster with two hands, but not without pointing the muzzle towards my hip. This is not something I would want to do regularly, but this holster is not for the range, it"s for CCW, so the only reason I am likely to draw the weapon is to defend myself, something that is not likely to happen very often.
So, at least for me, this holster was worth the wait. I give Rob credit for answering my emails promptly and offering a refund when he did not meet the estimated delivery time. It appears to me that the reason delivery times at Tucker became extended is that the high quality of the work and innovative design have resulted in an increase in orders. It is not easy to ramp up any operation in the face of increased demand, I hope he can do it and maintain quality going forward. I can tell you that I intend to order from him again.

It looks like it would be pretty comfortable.
Does your pistol pull out easy or is it going to have to be broken in?
I didn't think they charged you until they started on your order.

If you use paypal, it's charged right away. If you use a credit card, we don't charge until we're making it. All that is printed on the website in three places.
There's no break-in with a Texas Heritage. It's molded specifically to your gun, but not rigidly or very tightly. It gets the final amount of retention when you wear it with your belt around it.

Ok, I guess I forgot since I haven't been on the website since July of last year when I placed my order.
