    Milt Sparks Versa Max

I have the opportunity to buy a Milt Sparks Versa Max VM-2 for $100.00. It has only been worn for a week. My question is...is it worth it? In your opinion is it better than a sub $100.00 holster from one of the fine makers in the maker list? I have owned holsters from Alessi, Delfatti, UBG, and Brommeland and have been happy with all of them regardless of the price. Should I get off my wallet?

Jump on it. They go for $105 new from MS with a 6 month wait. They are going for $150-175 on e-bay.

    Great deal.

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

If you are able to try it on, and you actually like it, then it sounds reasonable. Make sure it hasn’t been overly conditioned to the point of being limp as a drunken sailor. Overall, I like Milt Sparks' holsters as I’m waiting for a second variation to arrive. Ironically, I’m not a V2 fan, but that's simply because of my particular body-type and dress-code preference.

Hear hear! I bought one based on the awesome feedback everybody gives them. Turns out I can't comfortably carry my gun comfortably with the relatively high rise of the VMII. I've been using a CompTac Mtac for a couple of months now... adjusted it to carry a bit low and it's very comfy.

This says nothgin about the craftsmanship of the VMII, it's just that it doesn't fit me.

I find that the VM2 rides quite high. I bought two of them - for a Sig P239 and Sig P228. I ordered a CompTac MTAC for the P239 and the SuperTuck for the P228 to see if they are more comfortable. The VM2 seems to have a cult following, but i don't think it works for me.

I have one and it's my favorite holster. I have two more on order with ETA of Sept/Oct.

I bought some C-Tacs and hated them.

So YMMV really fits the bill here.
