I am looking for suggestions on a comfortable owb holster for a p229 sig sauer(no rail). I want something that will do a good job supporting my gun (yes its somewaht heavy) and still be concealable. I would prefer a forward cant holster but would appreciate any suggestions.
I have thought about iwb but do not want to buy new shorts and pants. Unless there is something that will not requires this. Thanks in advance

Don't believe what you hear and only half of what you see!
I just picked up High Noon's slide guard for my 228. Its a great holster at a more than fair price.

Try one of Nate's holsters (see atch). http://www.ubgholsters.com/
This is a Bonneville OWB holster for my non-railed P229/.40...fits great. Nate does great work.

Nice looking holster - Thanks for suggestions Sigguy229
There are a lot of good choices out there. You have already received a few of them. What is your price range?
-Desantis (3-slot scabbard) is one of my secret favorites - even for heavy guns.
-PureKustom (Black-Ops) is very nice but costs a good bit more.
-Fist(pick and choose) they have an overwhelming selection.
Good luck. Hopefully you will find the perfect holster right off the bat. Most folk wind up with a box or drawer full of experiments, so don't be surprised if you end up there too.

I have two of these... FIST, INC.
It has the cant, the quality, is tight against the body, and rides higher than many other OWB's. Mine looks just like the one with the Glock in it...

K&D is my holster of choice. I have 5 of them for various guns that I own. They make a quality, comfortable holster.

Absolutely pick an OWB that cants your SIG forward. The more the better.
I'll second or third the Pure Kustom Black Ops Pro.

I carry in a Galco Gunleather holster and I love it. I have one for my XD and another for my Kimber, and both are well made. Nice forward cant too. Check them out.
Like you've heard, a good gun belt is just as important as a holster.
