Lobo Gun Leather and Badger Grips

Well as stated in my other thread it was like Christmas Monday when I got home from work. I recently bought a Ruger SP101 and I love it, so I needed new leather and grips for it and here is what I got. I decided to give Lobo Gun Leather a try. The holster fit my gun great, very good job on the boning of the leather, the edges are finished nicely and the stitching is great. The finish is not as smooth as some of my other gun leather, but it will do. The price and wait time on this holster is great. The holster is very comfy to wear. I am very pleased overall. Now as for my Badger grips I think they are beautiful and love the way they fit and feel. Mr. Jim Badger is a great man to deal with and very helpful. I am very pleased. I think it made a nice setup.

    NICE.

Is this the "Enhanced" style? How long of a wait for delivery?

I like the leather but I love the grips!

Amazing how a small change like that can really spruce up a gun dramatically.

    Pretty darn good!

Lobo is a popular dude over at the Smith forum. His work is recommended by a lot of good folks over there.

    What do you mean by...?

"The finish is not as smooth as some of my other gun leather, but it will do."

are you referring to the how it's been dyed?

Yes, the dying process feels a little rougher. Like I said though, I am pleased with it, the holster is well made. I am just trying to give an honest overview of what I think.

Yeah, I'm not trying to give anyone a bad reputation. Lobo makes some good stuff and is a quality craftsman. I was just curious if you were describing the texture of the leather or the uniformity of the appearance.

I just wanted to say that I wore the holster all day today, and it was great. The holster really kept my gun secure and tucked in close to my body, you could hardly tell I had it on while wearing only a t-shirt. I am really happy with my purchase and would recommend this holster to anyone.
