Belt Size
Just curious as to what belt-width is actually more common with conceal carry. Personally, I don’t much care for wide belts as I find them cumbersome when bending, fastening/unfastening, etc. In fact, I prefer to go belt-less when I can. Anyway, I do believe that waistline carry is the most common mode of travel for us gun-toting citizens, so let the poll role…

I actually prefer a 2" belt. It just feels more solid. Of course, holsters usually have to be custom built for that width. I do own and frequently use both 1.5" and 1.75" belts.

With rare exceptions, all of my belts (fancy dress included) are 1.5".

I voted both.
My work week attire is business dress so I find myself usually wearing my 1.25" belts.
On casual days (polo or Hawaiian like shirts) I wear my trusty old 1.5" wilderness instructor's belt. I've had that belt for about 10 years and it hardly shows signs of wear.
Currently, I only carry OWB.

Ditto. I also find the 1.5 to be a little uncomfortable.

1.5" for all pants except for suit pants...

That's interesting, in that all my dress pants will take 1.5 even though "designed" for 1.25.

1.5 for all pants. I avoid suits as much as possible.

I've been a 1.5in. belt guy for years, even my dress/suit pants would always take a 1.5in. belt and that's what I always wore. So I guess for me I don't feel any need to keep anything smaller around. That said I wouldn't mind bigger sometimes like 1.75 but most of my pants wouldn't allow the extra.
I think as far as bulk and belts are concerned the buckle can be more of a problem than width particularly.

1 1/4" is what I wear mainly. I like the 1 1/2", but it's not the best for how I carry most of the time. If I carried OWB most of the time it would be the best for me to use the 1 1/2" belt.

1 1/4 for j-frames OWB/IWB and IWB for other guns under two pounds...1 1/2 for heavier guns, IWB and OWB.

A 1.5" belt will fit jeans and casual docker style slacks.
My 1.5" will fit my dress pants but it is snug... but it fits.
I chose a leather & kydex made belt so I could get the stability that I desire but without the width of a double-leather thickness gun belt.
As well, when you buckle the belt, you need to thread the "loose end" though the last belt loop... and thicker will not fit... so thinner (leather & kydex) is thinner and fits (for me).
Hope this helps and allows you to consider your various options.

BladeTech "Eclipse" Holster - Kydex (OWB)
