    OWB: Brown or Black?

I am going to try the Comp-Tac Gladiator as my first OWB. I am thinking that since this is for concealed carry the color doesn't matter. But just in case I am overlooking something can anyone see why there may be an advantage to getting black or brown leather?

Black will probably win this poll.

What color belt will you most likely be using with the holster..?

Doesn't affect function in any way, shape or form. Buy what matches your belt or clothes.

Yeah, make sure it matches your belt and shoes.

Look like you know how to dress yourself.

I'm seriously going to agree with the coordinate your colors idea. If nothing else, look like you know how to select clothing and dress yourself.

Ideally, no one will see it. However, when it might happen, your appearance will go a long way to relieve tensions between you and any witnesses, including lawmen. When I see anyone wearing a cheap, nylon holster, my immediate impression is 'wanna be'. Wearing a decent holster that is discordant is to my mind, second-worst.

Besides, like a nice looking set of grips, a good looking holster puts a bit more pride in your walk.

Black matches better unless you have a brown belt.

Black leather when wearing a suit. Brown leather when wearing khakis or jeans. And make sure the holster reasonably matches your belt and shoes/boots.

I have to chuckle a little bit. The Gladiator is a black kydex affixed to leather. So as far as color coordinating goes it would either be all black or the black kydex and brown leather.

Now for the fashion conscious, I usually wear jeans and a brown belt. But, if it is going to be concealed, not OC why would it really matter? I don't think it does. Just thought I may not be thinking of something. I think I need some female input here. :)

I think black reduces draw-time by .0000001 sec.

All the cool people get black! Seroiusly, just match the belt to the holster. I like black because I have more black shoes than brown!

Get both...whatever color you get you will wish you had the other. Everyone needs a black and a brown! :)

I go with Brown even though I agree that Black tends to attract less attention. Brown matches my belt and I am a slave to fashion.

Back in the 70's I had a belt, holster and shoes in dark blue to nicely contrast with my powder blue leisure suit.
