Premium CC Holsters That Don't Take a Month to Get

Basically what the thread title says: Are there any premium concealed carry holsters that are comfortable and conceal as well as, say, the CBST, that can be acquired in say one or two days depending on shipping speed? I like the CBST, but I don't want to wait a month to get it.

Find a local store that keeps a stock. I have a couple that have MTAC and Crossbreed's in stock.

Ditto. Obviously, you'll need to find a shop that carries a number of the brands/models that might interest you. The trick will be to find them in stock for the exact model of gun you've got. If not one of the obvious, popular guns, the odds of finding one will be much lower.

By the way, most of the "premium" (exceptional) makers of leather holsters will take far longer than a month. Some have a year or more of backlog. If wanting something customized to your features, you're going to wait.

    I've used these previously:

    • Lightning Arms Sports -- Several great holster makers are represented, and they stock a decent number of them. Del Fatti, Ritchie, PCS, 5 Shot, Milt Sparks, Galco.
    • Packin' Heat Leather Company -- Stocks Nighthawk Custom, Galco and Bianchi.
    • H.B.E. Specialty Leatherworks -- Great quality, and often has many items in the "for sale" section where a sale fell through or an item was returned.
    • Fist -- If willing to wait only a few weeks, consider Fist. Great quality without the ugly prices and long wait of so-called "top/premium" brands. I have several of the Fist holsters and like them quite a bit.

For a few more, use a Google search: +"stocking dealer" +"holster makers" .

Local stores. Pick a holster model the manufacturer has in stock. Unfortunately, that may limit your method of carry. Wait - a good holster is worth the time and money.

As one poster noted, a month isn't a long time to wait for a premium holster. I too endorse HBE, he made a beautiful holster for my S&W 3913 and had it to me in about two weeks.
I've also had good luck with C5 leather and the Ugly Bald Guy (UBG) who makes what I consider to be the best holster on the market...and fast too.

Any decent leather maker nowadays is gonna have a wait, unless they have something in stock. Buy a mid grade stock holster to get you through then order the premium or buy form stocking retailers like listed above.

Unless the Maker is undiscovered or fairly new to the world of custom leathercrafters, the 30 day time frame is pretty much nonexistent.

I've not heard recently what the shipping times are for Crossbreed, but to the best of my knowlege if you order just a Supertuck for a somewhat popular pistol they seem to get them out way ahead of the time expressed on their website. They probably say 4 weeks to cover their butts. I know that if you order one of their belts it will definately take a little longer. On the other hand I hope they are busy enough to be slightly behind.

    Occidental Leather Gun Holsters

Most holsters are in stock and ready to ship, if not they take about 7 days to make.

I second the TT-designs from Occidental. I received my lefty commander-size 1911 Griffin a couple of weeks ago and will try to put up a brief review in the near future.

Scottsdale Gun Club has a pretty good selection of holsters, although I don't know what the mix of iwb or owb they have. I did see alot of Galco brand iwb like the summer comfort which is what I use, and its a great well built holster that snaps onto your belt. Caswells in Mesa has an ok selection of holsters, but probably not anything that has the quality you are looking for.

Send an email to bigo maybe?

He made my holster in a matter of a few days and shipped it... price was VERY reasonable.

He's a member here on the boards and just getting started so as the person I quoted said... there won't be a wait due to being "undiscovered" ;)

The Super Tuck's take right at 4 weeks. Comp-Tac's version the MTAC has 9 day production time plus ship time listed on their site.

I see www.lucycreekarms.com claims to be a stocking dealer of CrossBreed holsters.

I have a CrossBreed SuperTuck for my XD45c, but I don't feel it's necessary for my M&P 9mm Compact since it is MUCH easier to conceal.
