Looks nice.
How did you break it in? Or have you not done that yet?

and to break in the mil spec I have sent about 1000 rounds down range since I bought it last summer.

I meant break in the holster to the firearm. Most holsters come very tight. Some just need some draw drills, some need to have the plastic bag trick. Just curious because I have one for my 1911 coming soon.

I had to do the plastic bag trick. It was super tight when I got it, but after leaving it over night with the bags it loosened up and along with multiple draws it is right where it should be.

This may be a stupid question, but what is this plastic bag trick you mention ?
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.

When you get the holster, if it is too tight, put the gun in the bag that the holster came in then put the bagged gun in the holster to stretch it a little.

I use wax paper (waxy side out). I don't remember why exactly; probably it was my dad's idea.

Waxed paper works really well. If the holster is still too tight...add another wrap of waxed paper and repeat.

I went with the black cherry to match the grips but still be dark enough to blend with my belt. I couldn't be more happy with the results!
