Galco concealable or combat master for J-frame?
Which of these two galco OWB rigs would you get for a S&W J-frame,in this case a 640-3 .357? My local shop has some combat master belt holsters in and they seem nice but they also seem to ride higher than the concealable. Which of these Rigs do you prefer over the other and why?
Snub nose revolvers, the original concealed carry guns.

I have the Galco concealable one for my glocks. It works great. I have not been able to conceal it very well under a t-shirt, however it works great under a button down shirt. It dosent ride too high, and with a good belt it is very comfortable. Good luck on your search, but I would not shy away from the concealable model.
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.

Does the CM's height pose a problem obtaining a good grip while drawing the 640??

I would take my unloaded weapon to the store and try it with both holsters when I am dressed as I would be when I carry. This should tell you how these holsters fit you and your weapon. I have a combat master for a G22 that I like, but that has no relevance to you and your weapon.

I prefer the Combat Master (B), it pulls in tighter than the Concealable (A).
