Beautiful! I can't wait for mine to arrive. Rocky does incredible things with leather, he's a real artist! I hope your gun enjoys it's new ride!

I love how this holster rides low when used IWB for my 1911 (it's easier to hide the grip for me). This thing is really stiff, great retention (just like my kydex). I know there's tons of adjustments but this is how I like it. I've done about 100 presentation drills with it so far and really like it. The holster holds the gun nice and tight to my side, same for the magazines. Rocky is a really great guy to deal with and his work is fantastic. I'd recommend his holsters to anyone.

Do you wet the inside of the holster down with water first? That is the way I was told to do it...and has worked well for me but have heard pros and cons on this method.

I've always heard that's a bad idea because it softens the leather and makes it like a wet noodle. No retention, collapses, and loses shape. Plus the dye will seep out quite a bit. Some dye will come off on your firearm on a new holster, but after it wears down the contact points and breaks in, you won't have it as much anymore. That's what generally happens with most holsters.

Rocky told me via phone that his holsters are very water proof so you shouldn't worry about it getting wet, but generally speaking it's not a good idea to let other leather products get soaked with water. My above comments were made with regard to what I've experienced and know of other holsters. Rocky assured me his holsters can handle being soaked with water if you let them dry out afterwards. He also mentioned a case where someone needed to soak the holster to get their firearm to fit, I didn't require that. I broke it in using the plastic baggie trick.

Sweet holster, congrats. Now I'm gonna have to get a matching mag holder for my CBOB's BOP. Gee whiz... thanks for spending my money for me by posting those pics.

I had to do the bag thing a couple of times on mine. It's super tight.
